Sandy Police Respond to Shooting Saturday Night - 1 Juvenile Sustains Minor Injuries (Photo) - 02/04/24

On February 3rd at 11:32 PM Sandy Police Department officers, with assistance from Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies, responded to the report of a shooting at a residence in the area of Davis St. and Gary St. in Sandy.

Police arrived and administered first aid to the 17-year old male who was shot in the back. The male sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. He has since been released from the hospital and is with his family.

A male was arrested at the scene on unrelated warrants.

Police are investigating the events that led up to the shooting. Initial reports were that the shooting was accidental. There is no further danger to the public. If you have any information regarding this incident, please call the Sandy Police Department Tip Line at 503-489-2195.
