Driver Arrested After Hit-and-Run Involving Salem-Keizer School Bus In Northeast Salem - 10/05/26

Driver Arrested After Hit-and-Run Involving Salem-Keizer School Bus in Northeast Salem

 

SALEM, Ore. -- Salem Police cited Lisa Cimino, 66, of Salem, following a hit-and-run crash involving a Salem-Keizer school bus in northeast Salem.

 

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on October 1, 2026, Salem Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run near Pine Street NE and Myrtle Avenue NE. Video provided to officers showed a white sedan driving on the sidewalk and sideswiping a Salem-Keizer school bus before leaving the area. Video of the incident has been posted and shared on social media by parties unrelated to the Salem Police Department.

 

On October 3, 2026, at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers contacted Cimino at her residence while conducting follow-up in the investigation and issued her a criminal citation for Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver When Property Is Damaged and Reckless Driving.

 

There were no injuries reported as a result of the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and further inquiries should be directed to the Marion County District Attorney's Office.
