Salem Police Seize Drugs and Arrest Two Following Traffic Stop
SALEM, Ore. -- On July 25, 2026, at approximately 12:18 a.m., officers arrested Shatemra Rowles, 44 and Rylee Obert, 29, both of whom are from Salem, on drug-related crimes following a traffic stop near the intersection of Market Street and Hawthorne Avenue NE.
During the traffic stop, officers discovered that Rowles was driving with a felony level suspended license and both she and Obert had outstanding felony warrants for their arrest. During the subsequent investigation, approximately 64.1 grams of methamphetamine and 14.6 grams of fentanyl were located and seized from the vehicle.
Rowles was lodged at Marion County Jail for Driving While Suspended (Felony) and a Criminal Arrest Warrant. Obert was lodged at Marion County Jail for multiple charges, including a Criminal Arrest Warrant, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Possession of Fentanyl.
The investigation is ongoing, and further inquiries should be directed to the Marion County District Attorney's Office.
