Salem Investigators Searching for Wanted Felon (Photo) **UPDATE** - 08/07/19

**UPDATE 8/7/19 8:00am**

On August 6th, 2019, at approximately 10:00 pm Salem Police Department officers located Walter William Kraemer walking in the 1900 block of Fairgrounds Rd NE in Salem, OR.  Kraemer complied with officers and was taken into custody without incident.  He was later lodged at the Marion County Jail on multiple felony charges, including Theft I and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.  Officers were able to locate Kraemer based on several tips received from the public.

Salem Police investigators are asking for the public's assistance in locating a wanted felon who is believed to be in the Salem area.   Walter William Kraemer, a 37 yr old Salem resident, is currently on felony probation out of Marion County for Burglary I, DCS Meth and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.  Kraemer recently cut off his GPS ankle monitor on July 22nd, 2019.  Since that time, he has been involved in additional criminal activity and investigators have probable cause to arrest him on multiple felony charges, including theft of firearms.  Kraemer should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts can call the TIPS line at (503) 588-8477.  If Kraemer is spotted, call 911 immediately.  The public is asked to please not approach or attempt to apprehend. 

Kraemer is described as a white male adult, 6'1", 210 lbs, brown hair and brown eyes.  Please refer to the attached photo for additional identifiers.
