Investigators have identified the victim of the fatal shooting which took place near Englewood Park the morning of August 4th, 2019 as 16 yr old Ishaq Saleem, a resident of Keizer, OR.

No further information on this investigation or victim will be released at this time.

The Salem Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred at Englewood Park at approximately 0048 hrs on August 4th, 2019.  The victim of the shooting later died at a local hospital.  No victim or suspect information is currently available.  This investigation is on going and no additional details will be released.

Investigators can confirm that this shooting is unrelated to the later shooting in the 400 block of 22nd st NE, which occurred at 0319 hrs on August 4th.
