At 7:40 p.m. Thursday, SW Polk Fire District was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 99 near milepost 55. Upon arrival, crews found a small sedan had collided with a full-size pickup truck at a high rate of speed. Debris from both vehicles covered the highway for approximately ¼ mile. Both vehicles were heavily damaged. Crews worked to clear the debris and patients were evaluated for injuries. Assistance was provided by Dallas Fire & EMS, Polk County Sheriff, and ODOT. The incident was turned over to Oregon State Police upon their arrival.
