Beach & Riverside Cleanup In In Southern Oregon: Local Volunteer Events Invite Community Action (Photo) - 09/10/26
Portland, Ore., September 10, 2026 – SOLVE’s annual Beach & Riverside Cleanup is bringing volunteers together across Oregon and Southwest Washington from September 18–27, nearly 100 opportunities to clean up and care for local beaches, waterways, parks and community spaces.
In Southern Oregon, Beach & Riverside Cleanup will bring volunteers together across the Rogue Valley to care for local communities, natural areas and the Bear Creek watershed. The region will see cleanup and restoration projects from Medford to Ashland, Talent and Phoenix, including several projects taking place as part of Bear Creek Stewardship Day on September 19.

Downtown Medford Clean Up
Medford | September 18, 8 AM – 10 PM
The Downtown Medford Association will bring volunteers together to clean up and beautify the heart of downtown Medford, helping make a visible difference in the community.
Bear Creek Stewardship Day – Wranglers Arena
Ashland | September 19, 8:30 am–12 pm
Sponsored by Southern Oregon Geocaching, this Bear Creek Stewardship Day project will bring volunteers together at Wranglers Arena to care for the Bear Creek watershed and surrounding natural areas.
Bear Creek Stewardship Day – Lynn Newbry Park
Talent | September 19, 8:30 am–12 pm
Volunteers will gather at Lynn Newbry Park as part of Bear Creek Stewardship Day, joining community members across the Rogue Valley in caring for the Bear Creek watershed.
Bear Creek Stewardship Day – Blue Heron Park
Phoenix | September 19, 8:30 am–12 pm
Sponsored by Save The Phoenix Wetlands and Pollinator Project Rogue Valley, this project will combine pollinator garden maintenance, invasive plant removal in wetland areas and litter cleanup.
Bear Creek Stewardship Day – Coyote Trails Nature Center
Medford | September 19, 8:30 am–12 pm
Sponsored by Rogue Valley Sewer Services, volunteers will help with litter cleanup and pollinator garden maintenance at Coyote Trails Nature Center, supporting a healthier Bear Creek watershed and local habitat.
