Portland, Ore., March 14, 2023 - On Wednesday morning, volunteers will gather at The Standard to check into the Portland Business District Cleanup event.

SOLVE staff will provide a safety orientation along with cleanup supplies such as litter grabbers, vests, and gloves. Once volunteers receive all the necessary cleanup information and supplies, they will begin to disperse out into the surrounding neighborhood to collect litter.

Embracing the upcoming transition of winter to spring, volunteers are donating their time to fill grain bags with litter to beautify and restore our beloved city. Without proper disposal, trash left on the streets has the potential to travel to our waterways by making its way to our storm drains and ultimately becoming marine debris

Each piece of litter that is picked up makes Rose City a cleaner and healthier place to live, work and play. With spring quickly approaching, there could not be a better time to spend some time outdoors and engage with your fellow community members!
