Volunteers Join SOLVE For A Stewardship Day Of The Willamette River -08/19/22

What: SOLVE’s Willamette River Cleanup, in partnership with Subaru of Portland, with additional support from the Oregon State Marine Board and Next Adventure.

Where: OMSI North Parking Lot located at 1945 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214

When: Saturday, August 20. Volunteer check-in occurs between 9:30 AM – 9:45 AM. The media should arrive by 9:30 AM.

Portland Ore. August 19, 2022, SOLVE is hosting the Willamette River Cleanup, in partnership with Subaru of Portland. Additional support from the Oregon State Marine Board and Next Adventure makes this stewardship day of the Willamette River possible.

124 volunteers have registered in advance for this event. The RiverPlace Marina, Oregon Yacht Club, Portland Rowing Club, and Macadam Moorage will be in attendance.

Volunteers will meet at OMSI in the north parking lot. Event check-in will occur between 9:30 AM – 9:45 AM. The event will run through 12:00 PM. 

What's Provided: Heavy-duty garbage bags, litter grabbers, safety vests, and work gloves are provided for all participants. We will have water-friendly cleanup equipment if you are bringing a vessel.

Youth Volunteers: This is an all-ages event! If you are under the age of 14, we ask that an adult is present with you. If you are 14 and over, please bring a youth waiver signed by your guardian if you intend to participate without them.
