Full Release:

(Portland, OR) 09 November 2017 - The Salvation Army in the Portland Metro area has started their annual toy collection for families in need this Holiday season. Many families make the difficult choice to pay the bills or purchase toys for their children for the holidays, and The Salvation Army feels that no child should go without, just because of circumstances out of their control.

The Salvation Army is making it easy by providing many ways to give. You can bring a new, unwrapped toy to one of their four locations in the Portland area, or drop it off at your local Fred Meyers in the boxes labeled The Salvation Army. If you do not know what to give, The Salvation Army provides itemized tags for different age children which can be found in many locations around the Portland Metro area through our Angel Trees, hosted by local merchants in the community. You might want to host a tree yourself at your place of work or social meeting area and provide an opportunity for coworkers, friends, family and patrons to give.

To learn more about these opportunities, where you can donate, or additional information about what The Salvation Army is doing this holiday season, call us at 1 (503) 794-3200, or visit us at portland.salvationarmy.org or find us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/SalvationArmyPortland.

Help The Salvation Army help those in need in our communities.
