News Release
Roseburg Police Department Launched Crackdown on Drunk Drivers to Save Lives During the Recent Holiday Season, but the Operation will Continue Through Summer! - 01/16/18

High visibility enforcement, and increasing the number of officers on the streets aggressively seeking out drunk drivers, is designed to deter people from driving after they've been drinking. "Our goal at RPD was to save lives by focusing on impaired driving in order to make our roads safer for our community in Roseburg during Christmas and the New Year Holiday season," said Sgt. Chrisenbery. "That's why we're joining forces with Oregon Impact to crack down on impaired drivers."

The Roseburg Police Department began the high visibility enforcement campaign, which has resulted in multiple DUII arrests, beginning in the week of December 15, 2017 and will continue the operation through summer of 2018.
