Residential Structure Fire - 1717 & 1727 NW Eden Street - 12-6-21 (Photo) - 12/06/21

At 9:19 a.m. on December 6, 2021, Roseburg Fire Department personnel responded to a reported residential structure fire at 1717 NW Eden Street.   Multiple callers notified Douglas County Dispatch of smoke and flames visible next to the Eden Street address.  A reporting party notified dispatch they were working to get all of the residents out of the residential structure.

Upon arrival on scene, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from two unattached structures that were spreading to a nearby manufactured home located at 1727 NW Eden Street.  Firefighters conducted a primary and secondary search to confirm no occupants were inside the structure.  Firefighters made an initial exterior attack, completed an interior attack for extension, and completed overhaul.  The unattached structures sustained significant structural and water damage.  The nearby manufactured home received exposure damage to the exterior of the structure. One adult was displaced; however, no one was injured in the fire.  The American Red Cross was notified and is assisting the resident.

A fire investigator was on scene and the fire remains was under investigation. Other agencies assisting with the fire included Douglas County Fire District #2, Umpqua Valley Ambulance, Roseburg Police Department, Avista Utilities, Pacific Power, and the American Red Cross.
