Firefighter Physical Agility Test - American Legion Field - 2-23-18 - 02/23/18

The City of Roseburg Fire Department will be conducting a physical agility test on February 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The physical agility test will be for recent applicants who applied for a Firefighter position with the department. The physical agility test will take place at the American Legion Baseball Field which is located at the corner of Stewart Park Drive and Northwest Stewart Parkway. The test consists of several exercises which are simulations of actual tasks performed on the job. Firefighting involves extremely hard and skilled physical work, as well as handling emergency and life or death situations. Demanding physical standards are necessary because of the high level of physical fitness required by the job. The physical agility test is designed to test a person's physical strength, agility, and endurance and their ability to perform basic strenuous tasks that a professional firefighter must perform. Applicants must complete the tasks in the manner required as well as completing the tasks within a specific time allotment.
