Redmond Police Arrest Domestic Violence Suspect -11/01/23

Redmond, Oregon - On the morning of November 1, 2023, a 35-year-old Redmond man, was arrested on several Domestic Violence charges.  The suspect was taken into custody in the vicinity SW Quartz Ave and SW 21st Street.  

The suspect was identified as a perpetrator of an assault, where he attempted to take the victims property and injured the victim in the process of the carrying out the crime. 

On October 30, the suspect was contacted by phone in an attempt to have him turn himself in.   During the conversation, the suspect made several concerning threats of violence towards the victim and law enforcement.  

The suspect was located on November 1, at approximately 7:00 a.m. the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team (CERT) and RPD responded to the area of SW 21st St. and SW Quartz Ave.  CERT surrounded the location, and after negotiations were started, the suspect agreed to surrender.    He was transported to the Redmond Police Department for questioning and then transported to the Deschutes County Jail, where he was lodged on the following charges: Assault IV-Domestic Violence, Coercion, Contempt of Court, Robbery III, Interfering with Making a Report, and Violation of a No Contact Order.
