Redmond PD Seeking Information from June 8, 2023 Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 97
Redmond, Oregon – On June 8, 2023, at approximately 10:52 PM, 911 received a call of a hit and run motor vehicle crash that had occurred on the southbound side of Highway 97 near NW Larch Ave in Redmond. The crash involved a motorcycle and an unknown vehicle.
Officers from the Redmond Police Department located the 61-year-old male motorcycle driver and provided first aid prior to him being transported to the hospital by Redmond Fire & Rescue. The victim later died due to the injuries sustained from the crash.
RPD is asking for assistance from the community by providing any information that could be useful to the investigation.
The initial investigation has tentatively identified the suspect vehicle as a late model Dodge Ram pickup. If you have a home or business with surveillance cameras on Highway 97, or any of the following streets near Highway 97: West Antler Ave, Evergreen Ave, Veterans Way, please review video between 10:30 PM and 11:30 PM on June 8, 2023, for the above listed vehicle.
