Red Cross Shelter Open in John Day, OR - 04/09/19

The Red Cross Cascades Region has opened a shelter today, Tuesday, April 9, in John Day, Oregon for those affected by  flooding.

The shelter is located at:

John Day LDS Church
944 E. Main St.
John Day, OR 97845

Individuals and families affected and in need of shelter assistance are encouraged to simply show up at the shelter for help.

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies about 40 percent of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a not-for-profit organization that depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.
