Red Cross Responds to a Home Fire Disaster in Kelso, Washington - 12/14/18

Disaster responders with the local chapter of the American Red Cross dispatched to a home fire disaster on Friday, December 14, 2018, in the 100 block of Lexington Ave, in Kelso, Wa. at approximately 1600 hours 

This single family fire affected 2 adults and one child. The Red Cross provided resources to help address the immediate basic needs such as temporary housing, food, clothing, comfort kits including toiletry items, information about recovery resources, health and mental health as needed. Additional information, if available may be obtained by contacting local first responding agencies/fire department. The Red Cross in Oregon and SW Washington (Cascades Region) helps an average of three families affected by home fire disasters each day. The Red Cross advocates emergency preparedness and offers the installation of free smoke alarms in our community.
