May 13, 2024, Troutdale, OR – Reynolds School District’s Troutdale Elementary School will partner with Arcadia Trueheart, an interdisciplinary artist, who will help create a mural of local plants. She will collaborate with every Kindergarten – 5th grade students to design the mural. Then all 3rd – 5th grade students will work with Arcadia to paint the final designed mural at the school. The final mural will be painted in the school’s cafeteria.
“I’m excited to work with the Troutdale students to create this mural,” proclaimed Arcadia. “Future Troutdale students will be able to understand the importance of local plants through the creation of this mural,” she added.
Every Troutdale Elementary 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade student will get to help paint the mural. The project will take place from Tuesday, May 14 – Thursday, May 16 between 9:30am – 1:00pm and from Tuesday, May 21 – Thursday, May 23 between 9:30am – 1:00pm.
