Reynolds School District Upgrades High School Soccer Field (Photo) - 10/11/21

October 11, 2021, Fairview, OR – Reynolds School District contracted with Pacific Sports Turf to upgrade the Reynolds High School soccer field. Improvements included resurfacing the soccer field surface by smoothing the field and removing excessive organics to provide a safer, more consistent playing surface.

The soccer field now has a combination of Kentucky Blue Grass along with Perennial Rye Grass for the playing surface. The irrigation system has also been updated and run times created to help set the new field, with Pacific Sports Turf to monitor the progress of the field until December 2021. The new soccer field received striping and was ready to use last week.

The new soccer field hosted the Raider Boy’s match on Wednesday, September 21 vs. Cleveland High and hosted the first Raider Girl’s match on Thursday, September 23 vs. North Salem High. “Soccer is a major influence with a large segment of our student and family population and we’re happy to have them play on this new field,” stated Dee Archie, Reynolds High School’s Athletic Director.

The project was managed by CBRE I Heery. “After hearing concerns from our community regarding the condition of the field, Reynolds School District was able to secure budget funds through our Facilities Department in order to repair the field,” proclaimed Dr. Ortiz, Assistant Superintendent of Student & Family Services. “We’re excited to have our Raider Boys and Girls soccer teams play on a new surface with safer conditions,” he continued.
