Mary Ann Affordable Housing Development Now Open, Media Invited To Attend Open House On November 1 - 10/28/21

What: Join representatives from REACH Community Development, Bienestar, Metro, and the City of Beaverton to tour The Mary Ann—a recently completed and now leasing affordable housing development with funding provided by the Metro regional affordable housing bond.
Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty, Metro Councilor Gerritt Rosenthal, Bienestar Executive Director Nathan Teske, and REACH CEO Dan Valliere will be in attendance for interviews.

Where: 4601 SW Main Avenue in downtown Beaverton. On-street parking is available near the development. Media is requested to check-in at the main entrance.
When: Monday, November 1 from 9:30 a.m. to noon
Who: The open house is exclusively for media and will include tours of the new development, as well as interviews with development representatives.
Why: The Mary Ann features 54 new affordable housing apartments in Beaverton. The $22.6 million development is the first to begin construction with funding through the Metro regional affordable housing bond.
The Mary Ann will be home to very low-income families with children with incomes at or below 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI), with 20% of the homes set aside for households at or below 30% AMI. Onsite programs and services for residents are available.
