Pink Lemonade Project To Host Sold Out Pink Glow Gala On Friday, May 6th At Ilani -05/05/22

Vancouver, WA – Pink Lemonade Project will resume their annual Pink Glow Gala on Friday, May 6th, 6 p.m., at ilani in Ridgefield. The event is presented by ilani, Cowlitz Indian Tribe and Natrelle.

Pink Glow is the premiere fundraising event for Pink Lemonade Project. It is designed to bring together leaders and people affected by breast cancer to educate, empower and support the broader breast cancer community.

“ilani and the Cowlitz Indian Tribe are proud to help, serve and strengthen our local communities by partnering with extraordinary organizations such as the Pink Lemonade Project. They impact those affected in ways beyond what the healthcare system can offer. And they stand in the gap with emotional, practical and psychological support for not only those walking through their cancer journey, but also their caregivers and families. We are privileged to work together with the Pink Lemonade Project in the service of those fighting breast cancer,” Kara Fox-LaRose, President & General Manager, ilani.

Today, one in seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer right here in the Northwest. And one percent of men will be diagnosed. When it is a leading cause of death and significant health disparities for women, there is no more important fight.

“We are honored to partner with Pink Lemonade Project and support their efforts in the breast cancer community. Together, we hope to raise awareness, bring the breast cancer community together, and give patients and their families the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their breast health. These women inspire us with their strength, courage, and compassion for other women going through similar experiences,” Sean Madanipour, Executive Director, U.S. Plastic Surgery.

The event will be hosted by emcee Janine Wolf, retired K103 personality and include a raffle, virtual / featured / live auction, dinner and drinks, a dessert dash, plus dancing and live music by Hit Machine. The program will feature the State of Breast Cancer—Growth & People Served, as well as ‘A Glimpse in the Life,’ with breast cancer patient stories.

“We are excited to be back together to showcase the tremendous impact Pink Lemonade Project has made in the last year. We will highlight the need across the region and the work being done increase survivorship, decrease deaths and improve the quality of life,” said Susan Stearns, Chief Executive Officer.

While the event is sold out, community members can still support Pink Lemonade Project through the Virtual Auction which is free to register at https://pinklp.ejoinme.org/22OnlineReg; virtual auction closes at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 6th. Donations in support of the event are also welcome and appreciated, https://pinklp.ejoinme.org/Donate22
