NORTH GATE AND PETERSON BOULEVARD CLOSURE SCHEDULED FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS (Photo) - 06/08/26

PETERSON SPACE FORCE BASE, Colo. – Beginning June 15, Peterson Boulevard will be temporarily closed from Paine Street north to Vandenberg Street (north), including the Peterson North Gate, to facilitate critical base infrastructure improvements.

 

Key Details:
o Start Date: June 15
o Duration: Approximately 40 days (subject to weather conditions)
o Reason: Comprehensive road replacement and paving operations
o Impact: The North Gate will be closed, and traffic delays are anticipated in the surrounding areas.

 

Safety & Travel Guidance:
o Personnel and visitors are advised to plan for alternate routes and expect potential traffic delays.
o Drivers must exercise increased caution when navigating near the affected zones.
o For safety purposes, pedestrians are strictly prohibited from walking through or entering the construction area.
