First responders from Peterson Space Force Base will compete in a battle of the badges Oct. 15 at 8 a.m.

Firefighters from the 21st Civil Engineer Squadron will square off against police from the 21st Security Forces Squadron in a series of competitions including police and fire specific obstacle courses, and a flag football game. A pie eating contest, egg toss, foot race and tug-o-war will round out the friendly competition.

The event is designed to test skills, build camaraderie and resilience, and give one of the squadrons bragging rights.
