Space Delta 10, the U.S. Space Force’s Doctrine, Tactics, Lessons Learned and Wargaming Delta, held a ceremonial activation ceremony Sept. 30 at Peterson Space Force Base.
Delta 10 is part of the newest U.S. Space Force Field Command, Space Training and Readiness Command, which activated Aug. 23 at Peterson SFB.
U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Shawn Bratton, STARCOM commander, presided over the ceremony, during which U.S. Space Force Col. Jack “Jay” Fulmer, Space Delta 10’s inaugural commander, ceremonially activated Delta 10. Fulmer also presided over and activated the 10th Delta Operations Squadron commanded by U.S. Space Force Lt. Col. Jonisa McGlown.
Fulmer most recently served as the director of Strategic Requirements, Architectures, and Analysis, Headquarters Space Operations Command, at Peterson SFB, Colo.
The Delta 10 mission is to develop U.S. Space Force doctrine and tactics, conduct the USSF Lessons Learned Program, and execute and support wargames to posture USSF forces, and designated joint and allied partners, to prevail in a contested and degraded operationally-limited all-domain environment.
The Delta currently is comprised of about 26 Guardians, civilians and contractors.
Space Delta 10 is temporarily headquartered at the U.S. Air Force Academy until the Department of the Air Force’s Strategic Basing Process is completed and approved by the Secretary of the Air Force.
