Pacific Power Foundation Awards $26,000 To Multnomah County Organizations - 09/28/26

Pacific Power Foundation awards $26,000 to Multnomah County organizations

               

PORTLAND, Ore. (September 28, 2026) — The Pacific Power Foundation is proud to support 18 Multnomah County organizations working to protect the environment and strengthen communities in the Portland metro area.

 

Funding will help provide hands-on outdoor education for students, expand volunteer initiatives and support career training programs that create opportunities for the community.


“Across Oregon, these organizations are empowering their neighbors to learn new skills and care for the environment around them,” said Ryan Flynn, director of the Pacific Power Foundation and president of Pacific Power. “We are pleased to support this meaningful work and the positive impact it has on our communities.”

 

These funds were awarded through the Pacific Power Foundation’s Community Enhancement and Environmental Respect grant cycle. Organizations interested in applying for the Foundation’s next grant cycle, Safety and Wellness, may apply by December 15.

 

The following Multnomah County organizations received funding during this grant cycle:

  • Braking Cycles received $5,000.
  • Columbia Slough Watershed Council received $1,000.
  • Constructing Hope received $1,500.
  • Depave received $1,500.
  • Estuary Partnership received $1,000.
  • Free Geek received $1,000.
  • Friends of Trees received $1,000.
  • Harper’s Playground received $1,500.
  • Hoyt Arboretum Friends received $1,000.
  • IRCO received $2,000.
  • Kathy’s Place received $1,500.
  • The Leaven Community received $1,000.
  • The Portland Parks Foundation received $1,000.
  • REACH Community Development received $2,000.
  • ReClaim It received $1,000.
  • The Rocky Butte Farmers Market received $1,000.
  • The Rose City Kappa Foundation received $1,000.
  • The SOS Center received $1,000.
