Vancouver, WA – October 2024 – Community Roots Collaborative (C-Roots) is proud to announce a
strategic partnership with NW Furniture Bank to furnish seven tiny homes at their new O Street
Community, providing affordable housing and essential furnishings for families in need. To support this
important project, D.A. Davidson and Pacific Northwest Fundraising have generously pledged a $3,000
matching gift, doubling every donation up to this amount toward C-Roots’ fundraising goal of $10,500.
The tiny homes will be staged at C-Roots’ O Street Community, which will celebrate its grand opening at
a Ribbon Cutting Event on October 10, 2024, from 3-5 PM at 3600 O Street, Vancouver, WA 98663.
The event will highlight the collaborative efforts of local organizations working together to create
affordable housing solutions for the Vancouver community.
The partnership with NW Furniture Bank ensures that each tiny home will be fully furnished, offering
families a comfortable and dignified living space. The cost to furnish one tiny home is $1,500, and the
goal of $10,500 will provide essential furniture and household items for all seven homes.
"We are thrilled to collaborate with NW Furniture Bank to furnish these tiny homes," said Peggy
Sheehan, Interim Executive Director of C-Roots. "Our goal is to make these homes move-in ready for
families who need them most, providing not just housing, but a sense of stability and community."
Haley Haines, Director of Development at NW Furniture Bank, added: “Partnering with C-Roots to
furnish these tiny homes aligns perfectly with our mission of providing comfort and dignity to those
transitioning into stable housing. Together, we’re creating spaces where families can truly thrive.”
In addition to providing essential furnishings, this project demonstrates the power of community
collaboration. The $3,000 matching gift from D.A. Davidson ($2,500) and Pacific Northwest Fundraising
($500) allows donors to double their impact, making it easier to reach the $10,500 goal. Every donation
up to $3,000 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, and all donations will go directly toward furnishing these
homes.
"We believe in supporting innovative housing solutions, and C-Roots’ work with NW Furniture Bank is
exactly the kind of community-driven initiative we want to uplift," said Eddie Allen, Owner and Lead
Guide of Pacific Northwest Fundraising. "This matching gift is a way to engage the community and
inspire donors to take action."
