For Immediate Release Metropolitan Performing Arts Main Stage Presents High School Musical On Stage! (Photo) -04/10/23

VANCOUVER, WA: Based on the Disney 2006 movie “High School Musical,” follow the characters you know
and love as they face adversity and change. When the Drama Club diva arranges to set up a clash of Troy’s big
game with Gabriella’s Science Decathlon, friends on both sides emerge to save the day to find a way to let the
couple break free from expectations and shine on stage together.

Disney’s High School Musical on Stage! centers on the blossoming relationship between Troy, a high school
jock, and Gabriella, the new smart girl at school. Their relationship and their surprise decision to audition
together for the school show are thwarted by the school’s current leading lady, Sharpay, and Troy and
Gabriella’s well-meaning friends. In the end, Gabriella and Troy find a way to be themselves and are rewarded
with the lead roles in the school show. Full of catchy songs and exciting dance routines, Disney’s High School
Musical on Stage! Explores issues of friendship, first love, and acceptance.

“These young artists have been chomping at the bit to do High School Musical since the late 2000s, and until
recently I was more than happy to move past it without a second thought” said Dylan Sladky, Director.
“However, the amount of energy and excitement from this cast has been infectious during rehearsals, and I am
happy to report that I ‘get it’ now.”

Starring Emerson Skogen as Troy Bolton, Kirstin Walla as Gabriella Montez, Norah Skogen as Sharpay Evans,
Ethan Dulay as Ryan Evans, Aidan Hefley as Chad Danforth, and Helaina Storaci as Taylor Mckessie, with
direction by Dylan Sladky, Choreography by Shannon Jung, and Musical Direction by Shanae Tullis; this show
promises to be an adventure in friendship to remember.
