About PGE's rate change proposal

PGE has proposed increasing the amount of total revenue it collects from Oregon customers by $178.8 million, or about 4.8 percent for all customer types combined. Actual bill impacts will vary depending on customer type (residential, commercial, industrial, or data centers) and energy usage. The company reports this increase is needed to make significant infrastructure investments, and the recovery of operations and maintenance and capital costs related to production, transmission, and distribution. PGE says it is making investments in the transmission and distribution system to advance clean energy in the future and allow energy to flow in more directions to support changing customer needs. PGE has other projects that are addressing the aging infrastructure to better withstand weather events and enhance resilience and reliability.

PGE’s general rate case filing is undergoing a nearly year-long review and will be fully investigated on behalf of customers by the PUC, the Oregon Citizens’ Utility Board, among others. This public meeting is part of that review. The Commission will issue a final decision in June of next year and any approved rate changes would take effect by July 4, 2027.
