PF&R to host an Open House at PF&R Fire Station 23

Portland Fire & Rescue would like to invite you to an open house tomorrow July 6, from 9-10 AM at the fully reopened PF&R Fire Station 23. This open house is to allow media and community members to see the fire apparatus operating out of Station 23, to have a look at the inside of the station, and to provide insight into the inner workings of this fire station serving the inner SE PDX area.
Station 23, serving the Hosford-Abernathy and Brooklyn neighborhoods, was closed in 2011 due to budget cuts. On November 16, 2017, Station 23 was partially reopened with a two-person rescue unit. PF&R was awarded a FEMA SAFER Grant in September 2022 that provided the necessary funding to staff Station 23 with an Advanced Life Support (paramedic) 4-person fire engine that enables PF&R to provide an increased level of fire suppression and emergency medical services to those in the Fire Management Area of this station.
