May Apartment Fire Investigation Update - 05/19/23

May Apartment Fire Investigation Update

Today’s operation with the UAS (drone) and the Technical Rescue/USAR team was a success.  The use the technology operated by a mutual aid partner from Scappoose Fire provided our team a positive direction in the forensic investigation process.

The PF&R Fire/Arson Investigations Unit will maintain control of the scene at a minimum until Wednesday May 24th but may be extended through the end of next week.  Planning and preparations to place a fire investigator inside the building to complete the scene examination will begin on Monday morning with the intent of conducting this entry on Tuesday May 23rd at a time yet to be determined.

Information will be released as it becomes available.
