Portland Fire responds to residential fire - 04/12/19

Just before 2p, Portland fire crews responded to reports of a house on fire. Upon arrival crews discovered a small room and contents fire in a garage that had been converted into a bedroom. The cause was found to be electrical in nature. One of the residents sustained a minor burn on their hand, but was treated on scene and did not require transport. During the incident, crews received a report of multiple pets inside the home and were able to account for 3 of the 4 animals during operations. The 4th pet was found safe outside during clean-up of the scene. All animals are safe and have been reunited with their people.
