At approximately 5:30pm last night multiple downtown PF&R and PPB responders were notified to be on the lookout for an adult male that had set several fires around the downtown area. Jack Edward Vandorin Young was arrested later that night and charged with two counts of Arson One (each count carries a possible nine year sentence). Members of the PF&R Arson Investigation Squad and PPB had been tracking Mr Young from surveillance footage dating back to March 1 in connection with multiple false fire alarm activations. Then beginning on Friday March 8-10th it’s believed Mr Young started over 20 fires.
