Fire Investigators Release Cause of SW Macadam Fire in January - 03/19/18

Portland fire investigators have released the cause of the Commercial Fire in the 5100 block of SW Macadam from January 28th. The cause has been determined to be "electrical failure". The property has been turned back over to the property owners and their insurance representatives for several weeks now.

The Portland Fire and Rescue Fire Investigation Unit would like to thank all the partner agencies that assisted in this large-scale investigation including the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Oregon State Police, and Gresham Fire and Rescue. Their support and assistance is invaluable at these large-scale incidents.
