Media Opportunity: Oregon Department of Emergency Management hosts the Oregon Prepared Conference (Photo) - 03/13/23

WHAT
The Oregon Department of Emergency Management is hosting its seventh Oregon Prepared Conference for the emergency management community. The workshop provides training and information on programs, current issues, and a place to discuss lessons learned and best practices related to all phases of emergency management in Oregon. This marks the return of the event following a three-year hiatus due to COVID-19.

The media is invited to attend a media availability from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. on March 21. Oregon Department of Emergency Management Deputy Director Matt Marheine will be available for one-on-one interviews about the state of emergency management in Oregon. WHO
Workshop attendees (450) include tribal, county, city, special district, state and federal emergency management, public safety and health preparedness staff, DHS/FEMA preparedness grant recipients, and non-profit and private sector partners with a role in preparedness, response, recovery and resilience.
