OHA and partners to discuss the agency’s strategic plan to eliminate health inequities

PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Director Sejal Hathi, MD, MBA, alongside the Oregon Health Policy Board chair and community partners, will discuss the agency’s 2024-2027 strategic plan during a press conference at 11 a.m. tomorrow, (Tuesday, Aug. 6). 

The plan outlines the actions the agency will take to eliminate health inequities in Oregon, working in collaboration with a wide range of allies and partners.

Speakers will include:

  • Sejal Hathi, MD, MBA, OHA Director
  • Brenda Johnson, MBA, Oregon Health Policy Board Chair; Chief Executive Officer, La Clinica Health Centers
  • Holden Leung, Chief Executive Officer, Asian Health and Service Center
  • Gustavo Morales, Executive Director, EUVALCREE
  • Rose Fuller, Executive Director, Northwest Family Services
  • Carly Hood-Ronick, MPA, MPH, Oregon Health Policy Board Member; President and CEO, Project Access NOW

The plan, developed through extensive community engagement and staff involvement, identifies five key areas of focus:

  • Transforming behavioral health
  • Strengthening access to affordable care for all
  • Fostering healthy families and environments
  • Achieving healthy Tribal communities
  • Building OHA’s internal capacity and commitment to eliminate health inequities
