The Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI) will release a new earthquake impact study for Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties on Thursday, March 15. The Regional Disaster Preparedness Organization (RDPO) partnered with DOGAMI on the study, which examines potential impacts from a magnitude 9 Cascadia earthquake. The study's estimates of injuries and fatalities, people needing shelter, building damages, and other impacts helps communities, the region, and the state prepare for and recover from a major earthquake.
