Oregon State Police Requesting Public's Assistance with Unlawful Killing of a Deer - Wasco County (Photo) - 11/06/20

The Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division is asking for the public’s assistance with identifying person(s)responsible for the unlawful taking of a buck deer in the White River Unit.

The incident occurred on or about November 2, 2020.

The location was on Badger Creek Rd, just above Tygh Valley, in the Mt. Hood National Forest near the White River Wildlife Area boundary.

An ODFW employee located the deer, just off the road, with some meat taken and the head removed.

OSP responded and determined the buck deer was shot and the person (s) involved attempted to conceal it by dragging the deer away from the roadway and placing it behind a large rock.

Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact OSP Trooper Jason Walters through the Turn in Poachers (TIP) hotline at 1-800-452-7888 or *OSP (mobile).
