Pedestrian Fatal I -205 near Clackamas Town Center -Update #1- Deceased Identified - 11/26/19

The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Jason Molash, age 29, from Estacada.

Through the investigation and assistance from the public it was determined Molash, wearing all black clothing, was struck as he was walking one of the lanes of travel. Investigators determined at least three vehicles struck Molash. Those vehicles were: Unit #1, driven by John Ewing, age 55, from Oregon City was a 2008 Dodge 2500 pick-up; Unit #2, driven by Tawnya Cantu, age 48, from Milwaukie was a 2000 Honda Passport; and Unit #3, driven by Mark Newbloom, age 29, from Milwaukie was a 2004 Subaru Forester.

No other information is anticipated to be released regarding this case.


On November 25, 2019 at approximately 5:30am Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a pedestrian fatal on I-205 near milepost 13.

Preliminary investigation indicates unit #1 was traveling northbound when they struck a pedestrian who was standing in the middle of I205. Shortly after that law-enforcement received several calls of a hazard in the middle of the road on I -205. While units were responding, unit # 2 also struck the pedestrian. 

Both drivers are cooperating with the investigation. All lanes of northbound I-205 are closed and are not expected to open for at least an hour but a detour has been established. Refer to ODOT Tripcheck (www.tripcheck.com) for updated road conditions.
