UPDATE #3 - Reward Being Offered - Oregon State Police Requesting Public's Assistance With Fatal Crash On Hwy 395 - Umatilla County (Photo) -05/08/20

On Saturday, August 31, 2019 at approximately 2:30 A.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a pedestrian, Antonia M. Cobarubias (41) of Hermiston, that had been hit by a car on Hwy 395 near mile post 4A.

OSP believes the vehicle is a 1996 to 2000 Honda, possibly a Civic model, with aftermarket features and effects.

A reward is being offered for information leading to a prosecution in the case.

Oregon State Police is requesting anyone with information regarding this deadly hit and run crash to contact the Oregon State Police at 1-800-442-0776 or by dialing *OSP from your mobile phone.

The  investigation and information received from the public indicates the vehicle involved is more likely a 1994-2001 Acura Integra.

The vehicle will also be missing a passenger side mirror.

The pedestrian is being identified as Antonia M. Cobarubias (41) of Hermiston.

On Saturday, August 31, 2019 at approximately 2:30 A.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a pedestrian that had been hit by a car on Hwy 395 near mile post 4A.

Preliminary investigation revealed a pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart walking northbound when a yet unknown red Honda car, unknown model, struck the pedestrian from behind.

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.  Name and information will be released at a later time.

The driver of the Honda did not stop but left several pieces of the vehicle at the scene (pictures attached). OSP believes the vehicle is a 1996 to 2000 Honda, possibly a Civic model, with aftermarket features and effects

OSP was assisted by the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Department, Hermiston Police Department, Umatilla County Fire District #1 and ODOT.
