Stolen Vehicle Pursuit in Oregon City -- Clackamas County (Photo) - 01/10/18

On January 10, 2018 Oregon City PD along with Gladstone PD and Clackamas County assisted with a vehicle pursuit on SR 99E near S 14th Ave, Oregon City.

At approximately 3:50 pm, an Oregon City PD officer attempted to stop a black 2017 Audi SUV for not stopping at a red light and switched license plate, when the operator, Robert Joseph YOUNG, age 29 of Milwaukie attempted to elude northbound on Highway 99E in Gladstone. Riding with YOUNG was one female passenger, identified as Michelle Renee CRANE, age 36 of Clackamas.

During the pursuit, YOUNG sideswipe a white pickup as he was operating the AUDI in the southbound lanes of travel. At the intersection of Abernathy Rd and Portland Ave, YOUNG made a U-Turn and seconds later struck an Oregon City officer's patrol vehicle. The officer was uninjured as a result of the collision.

YOUND and CRANE abandoned the Audi at Roethe Rd and Oakhurst Ct. YOUNG and CRANE were detained in the 5600 block of Byron Dr. without further incident. YOUNG was arrested for Attempting to Elude, Unauthorized Use Motor Vehicle, and Fail to Perform Duties of Driver-Property. CRANE was released at the scene.

The ADUI was a reported stolen vehicle from Wilsonville.

Oregon City PD was assisted by Oregon State Police, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, and Gladstone PD assisted.
