Oregon Office Of State Fire Marshal To Host A Webinar On Upcoming Grant Opportunities - 10/21/22

SALEM, Ore. – The Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal is hosting an educational webinar on upcoming grant programs for community wildfire preparedness programs set to launch later this fall. These grants will give local community leaders, Oregon counties, fire service agencies, and organizations additional support to create defensible space and prepare their communities for wildfire. With the increase in wildfire impacts on communities in Oregon, the Oregon State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is thrilled to offer these upcoming grant opportunities to assist local governments and organizations in increasing wildfire preparedness in Oregon. 

The webinar will cover the upcoming community preparedness grants, examples of successful projects, and steps Oregonians can take to create defensible space around their home. Join OSFM on November 3rd at 1 pm by following this link: Community Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant Webinar

ABOUT FIRE ADAPTED OREGON

Funding for the community risk reduction grant opportunity was made possible through the Oregon Legislature and Senate Bill 762.  The OSFM’s Fire Adapted Oregon initiative was designed to create resilient communities by supporting local programs. This initiative invests resources to reduce fires and their impact on people.
