News Release
Beachie Creek Fire - Limited Media Tour - 09/12/20

Salem, Ore. – While access along Hwy 22 remains difficult and the general public are not allowed inside the fire perimeter, the Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal and Marion County Sheriff’s Office will be providing a limited media tour along Hwy 22 tomorrow morning (Sunday, Sept. 13.)

COVID-19 safety precautions are of critical importance to our firefighters and law enforcement professionals. To maintain safe distancing and due to the need for safe transport, we will be allowing one videographer to represent local news stations, one photographer for local print media and have two spots for unaffiliated national/international news outlets.

The limited vehicle caravan will be escorted by law enforcement and fire representative to ensure the safety of media members and answer questions.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to provide you with information and images during this unprecedented time.
