Adult in Custody walks away from Department of Corrections Building in Salem (Photo) - 11/19/21

Today, Benjamin Dean Woods walked away from an Oregon Corrections Enterprises (OCE)warehouse on the grounds of the Oregon State Penitentiary at 2605 State Street in Salem. Woods walked away at approximately 10:15 a.m. 

Benjamin Woods, 38 is a white male weighing 190 lbs., 5’ 10’’ tall, with blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue T-shirt, and a sweatshirt. 

Woods entered Department of Corrections (DOC) custody on March 24, 2021, on one count of burglary and one count of attempted burglary out of Marion County. His earliest release date is August 29, 2024. He was housed at Santiam Correctional Institution and was working as a warehouse clerk for OCE. 


The DOC Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Oregon State Police are investigating. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should contact the Oregon State Police at 1-800-452-7888, the non-emergency number of their local police department, or the DOC Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 503-569-0734. Do not approach Woods.

Brandy Woodward and Shelly Radan are still out of custody following their walk away from the DOC Commissary Facility located in Salem on October 11, 2021. The DOC Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Oregon State Police continue to investigate.
