Bitters demystified! Learn how to make and use bitters in this hands-on workshop. This class will cover the history and science of bitters as well as basic formulas, tools, and processes to make bitter tinctures at home.

Blind Tasting Bingo
March 15, 6-9 p.m.
Test your mouth-mind connection. Blind Tasting Bingo is a game of sensory deprivation and heightened exploration. In the game, Bon Appetit Executive Chef, Kit Zhu, will present 14 distinct bites that players taste with their eyes covered, seeking to identify what they taste on a bingo board that includes both correct and false answers. A few lucky winners will take home fun prizes!

Discover how to cultivate communities of engineering thinkers in a FREE two-day seminar for educators! This multifaceted workshop illuminates the social, relevant, and altruistic nature of engineering by introducing a variety of engineering activities with a strong focus on equity.

OHSU Brain Fair

Learn about the amazing adaptive power of the brain when OBI's Brain Fair returns to OMSI on March 10. This year's "cerebral celebration" will include interactive exhibits, real human and animal brains, prizes, activities, and OHSU neuroscientists explaining and demonstrating their groundbreaking research.

The Empirical Theater at OMSI
Named for knowledge gained through observation, the Empirical Theater emphasizes programming that engages and entertains visitors on educational, scientific and cultural topics. With a four-story screen, Dolby Atmos sound system and 3D capability, the theater is expanding the tradition of offering the latest in high-quality informative and entertaining films for all ages.

Dinosaurs Alive
Dinosaurs Alive is a global adventure of science and discovery featuring the earliest dinosaurs of the Triassic Period to the monsters of the Cretaceous "reincarnated" life-sized for the giant screen. Audiences will journey with some of the world's preeminent paleontologists as they uncover evidence that the descendants of dinosaurs still walk (or fly) among us.

Jean-Michel Cousteau's Secret Ocean (shown in 2D or 3D)
Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of ocean pioneer Jacques Cousteau, offers a breakthrough look at a secret world within the ocean that is perhaps the biggest story of all--that the smallest life in the sea is the mightiest force on which we all depend. Alongside marine biologist Holly Lohuis, he invites viewers to dive into this whole new world that will leave them in awe of the beauty and diversity of the oceans, the source of all life on our planet, and inspire an even stronger desire to protect what they have either seen for the first time or perhaps re-discovered along the journey.

One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure
NEW! Join Big Bird and Elmo as they explore the night sky with Hu Hu Zhu, a Muppet from "Zhima Jie," the Chinese co-production of Sesame Street. Together they take an imaginary trip from Sesame Street to the moon, where they discover how different it is from Earth. They also journey to Zhima Jie to learn about the similarities in our view of the sky.

Starry Nights LIVE!
Learn about the interesting stories of the constellations and others in this live presentation in OMSI's Kendall Planetarium. It is not just stars in the night sky--planets, constellations, zodiac, shooting stars, and satellites are all there if you know when and where to look. Navigate by the stars and discover how you can become a backyard astronomer. Topics will change monthly and graphics will be programmed accordingly. All shows are hosted and narrated live by OMSI planetarium staff.
