TUALATIN, OR (Friday, Sept 30th and Saturday, Oct 1st):

As harvest season approaches, the Tualatin Lions Club is preparing for their 10th annual Oktoberfest Celebration. The Lions Oktoberfest will take place at the Tualatin Valley Elks Lodge, 8375 SW Warm Springs Street, Tualatin, on Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st, from 5pm to 8pm each night. The 2022 Oktoberfest will be both dine-in and take-out. Dinners will be $12 and the Lions will accept cash, checks or credit cards at the front entrance to the Elks Lodge.

Dinners will all be locally sourced and will include Zenner brand German sausage, Willamette Valley sauerkraut, seasoned Hamburg style fries, dinner rolls and the Lions famous “apfel kuchen” (fresh apple cake). Soft drinks, wine, cocktails and beer, including an authentic German beer, will be available for sale from the Elks bar. Dinners, prepared by the Tualatin Lions, will be served by members of the BSA Venture Crew and Scouts from Troop 530.

The Tualatin Lions will also have their popular “50/50” raffle available for just $5 per ticket. The raffle will be pulled at 7:50pm on Saturday, Oct. 1 and the winner will receive half of the pot.

The winner need not be present to win. Merchandise raffles from supportive Tualatin businesses will make their return to the Lions Oktoberfest this year with tickets available during both evenings.

This year there will be no need to call or email ahead as the Tualatin Lions will be busy in the kitchen both evenings making sure the sausage and kraut are ready for everyone. Come celebrate autumn and the harvest the “old world way” with the Tualatin Lions Club.

All funds raised at the 2022 Tualatin Lions Club “Dine In/Take Out” Oktoberfest go to help our under-served neighbors receive help with sight and hearing saving surgery or treatment, exams and eyeglasses or hearing aids, state-of-the-art vision screening for local students and exams and eyeglasses for those in need as well as support for local and regional food banks, the Tualatin Caring Closet, Scout Troop 530, pack 35 and the Venture Scouts. “If there’s a need, there’s a Lion”. The Tualatin Lions Club is always looking for community members who want to volunteer and enjoy their fellowship.
