TILLAMOOK COUNTY, Ore. – An informational meeting and public hearing on easement and removal-fill permit applications for a proposed fiber-optic cable project in Tierra del Mar will be held on Feb. 19.
The Oregon Department of State Lands (DSL) has received easement and removal-fill applications from Edge Cable Holdings, USA for a proposed fiber-optic cable project. The easement application requests an easement through Oregon’s territorial sea near Tierra del Mar for installation of a fiber-optic cable. The removal-fill permit application proposes removal and fill of material in the seafloor to install a submarine bore pipe to house the cable.
The meeting will include informational presentations and a question & answer session with DSL and the applicant, followed by a hearing to take public comment on the easement and removal-fill applications.
