Pendleton To Host Blue Mountain Event Focused On Helping Organizations Strengthen Safety, Health For Workers (Photo) - 04/20/22
Salem – A two-day event in Pendleton will offer large and small employers across a range of industries numerous opportunities to bolster their on-the-job safety and health programs, including sessions about safety committees, hazard identification, safety leadership, ergonomics, and stress reduction.
Oregon OSHA, a division of the Department of Consumer and Business Services, is partnering with the Oregon SHARP Alliance, and employers and employees in northeast Oregon to present the June 6-7 Blue Mountain Occupational Safety and Health Conference at the Pendleton Convention Center.
On Tuesday, June 7, keynote speaker Bob Edwards, founder of The H.O.P. Coach – a company in Tennessee that provides training and services in human and organizational performance – will present “Success and Failure, They Aren’t That Different!”
A human and organizational performance practitioner, Edwards said he will discuss his approach to helping organizations “gain a deeper understanding of their operations and the complex nature of work.” He said he will also show how organizations, through collaboration and mutual respect, “are becoming more reliable and resilient.”
