Early this morning, just before 2:00 am, Clackamas Fire and the Oregon City Police Department responded to a fire at Park Place Elementary School, located at 16075 Front Ave.  When the first fire engine arrived, they found the play structure on fire.  The fire was quickly contained and extinguished, however, an investigation has revealed the fire was intentionally set and is being considered an arson.  It is estimated the fire caused over $15,000 worth of damage.  No suspect(s) have been identified.

Anyone who has information about the fire or has information about who is responsible for setting the fire are asked to call the Oregon City Police Department tip line at 503-496-1616 or the Clackamas Fire District #1 Fire Prevention Office at 503-742-2660.  Reference OCPD case #18-022504.
