Northwest Association for Blind Athletes to Host Evening Skiing and Snowboarding Events on February 19 and February 26

Vancouver, Washington—January 9, 2020—Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) will be hosting evening skiing and snowboarding experiences for individuals who are blind or visually impaired at Mt. Hood Meadows. NWABA’s programs are designed to build confidence by stepping outside one’s comfort zone, to foster friendships with peers who understand what it is like to be visually impaired, and encourage independence through an active, healthy lifestyle.

NWABA’s skiing and snowboarding events will take place from 5:30 – 7:30 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 and Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Anyone who is blind or visually impaired is encouraged to join in this opportunity to learn basic fundamentals and skills to participate in skiing and snowboarding. Only 12 spaces available per night. Equipment rental, lift pass, and transportation are included.
