Additional Details:
John Coppin is a huge fan of classic cars, specifically the Corvette. His father, John Sr., was the proud owner of a beautiful blue and white 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. John always admired the car and fondly recalls how it became a special way for father and son to bond. He always believed that, at the right time, his father would pass down the classic car to him.
However, his dad sold the Corvette.
This summer, John (a Meineke customer of 40 years) walked into his local Meineke in Colorado Springs for a regular service visit and was greeted with a surprise – it happened to be Meineke’s 50th Anniversary, and as part of the celebration of the company planned to give away a classic Corvette—a 1972 Stingray.
John entered the drawing on the spot. Weeks later, he discovered a voicemail message from Meineke with the news that he had won.
The prize Corvette is white and blue, the same colors as the one John’s father maintained for many years.
When John told his father the news, he recalls, “I could hear the excitement in his voice, as if he had won the Corvette himself. It’s so nice to talk Corvettes with my dad again.”
Ryan Tracy, Chief Executive Officer, Barren Troy Holdings, owns 14 Meineke locations across Colorado. A Meineke owner for 12 years, Ryan was pleased to learn that a local customer had won. “We take great pride in Meineke being part of the Colorado community, and John winning the Corvette is a full circle moment for him and our Meineke family.”
“There’s something sentimental about these classic cars,” John says. “I’m grateful to Meineke. They have played a huge role in making a lifelong dream of mine come true.”
